It’s the Little Things That Count

See that dark spot on the wall? No, not that. That’s for garbage. Look higher. Closer. See it? That’s our new break room TV. Management upgraded our 27″ tube TV with a 22″ flat screen. I have one of those at home for my laptop. They are really awesome. If you stand really close you will see what a great picture and hear what fabulous audio it has.

The girls have been panicked all day over wasps flying around the house. Found cuz here tooling around the flowers out back. It may in fact be its last meal given the arsenal of fly swatters that have been deployed around the fort.

We missed the snow last week by visiting New Orleans. I came home from work today and it was nicely dry. 2 hours later we have an inch of snow. Not a blizzard but enough to get the girls spazzing out. Here’s the photo out the front of our house. I must leave you now as I’m going to ride my mountain bike in the snow now.

No one has updated in weeks thanks to the busyness of work, school, play rehearsals and vacations. But we did take a fantastic family vacation to New Orleans. While there were some scary and disturbing sights, it was still an amazing trip between spending time together, visiting museums, aquariums and insectariums, eating yummy food, spending time outside with the nature and learning. Morris family out.

Crazy Hair Day

So tomorrow is Crazy Hair Day at school. Hannah has an awesome plan, if KT can pull it off again. The practice run looked awesome. For G, I think these curlers look crazy enough and want her to leave them in. She is going to have boing-boing hair when we take them out, they’ll be pretty crazy. We’ll see what I can talk her into in the morning. Im not really sure what’s going on with the tongue.

Sunday at the Circus – Saturday With Clowns

Went to the circus today. You might think that I’d be posting up photos of clown boobs or something from the visit. You’d be wrong. I created this video on Saturday after spending some time staring at the monitor trying to learn this new video editing software. Amusing? Maybe. We had a laugh over it. Now I’m sharing. Unfortunately if you don’t like it, you will find it won’t be the last. Anyway, today was circus day. Lots of clowns. Much like these two “leaders” in D.C.

From Muu Muu to Mmmmm

On a recent trip to my favorite shopping destination, GWB (GoodWill), I found this muu muu. It had great colors, and lots of fabric, and for .99cents, it was a steal. I showed my friend Cari my find and it reminded her of Mexico and the fond memories she made there. So I made her an apron. She’s a great cook, so I know she’ll wear it and make something MmmmmmGood.

Awesome little find for Christo at GWB (Goodwill Boutique)- really cool little bicycle plate, perfect for desserts. I know he loves pecan pie, so I decided to make it more than once a year, since Chris’s Uncle blessed us with pecans at Christmas. Chris will eat the whole pie himself, so I decided to make it a bit bigger and make a 9X13 pan with a pastry crust instead of regular pie crust. Since it’s not round, I guess it’s not pie, but pie-ish.

While there was a big thunderstorm with lots and lots of rain, I was slaving away at my chemistry. But by the time the sun came out, I was done! So I rushed out, grabbed my tripod, rolled up my jeans and started splashing. I probably spent a whole hour outside playing. I got great shots of reflctions, clouds and splashing. It was wonderful!
